16 days left, I am not counting Wednesday since I leave relatively early on the12th.

I have my yard sale done, I gave everything left away, hopefully they will get some use out of it.

My sister Janeene & her family came to visit this weekend. Neil (brother) & McKell (brother-in-law) got some storage shelves hung from the garage ceiling so we got most of my stuff put up & Janeene & I went through some of mom's stuff to help her what she wanted and what she wanted to give away. I think I am finally ready to start my packing. I need to decide if I am going to use boxes or buy storage bins, buy them and then get started. I probably won't do much until I am done working. My last day of working is Thursday the 30th. All my other stuff is pretty much done. I have a few more little things I will need to get done but it mostly stuff for my bills. 

I got my authentication back & sent it to the General Consulate of the State of Kuwait. (On Friday so it will get their Monday, tomorrow) Now I just need to wait for my Passport and stuff to get back. I have had a dinner & a lunch with friends and have a few more between now & when I leave. 

Since my trip to California I have been working on getting my Criminal Background check Authenticated. That has been a pain. Kuwait requires that we send it to our State Secretary and then on to the Federal level. I called the state back in March and the lady said they don't do it. I called back the beginning of June ready to tell them that it was required of me to get my VISA but this lady said they do it and send it in no problem. So Last Tuesday I overnighted it to Boise & inclosed and overnight back (About $60.00) I got it back with a letter that said sorry we don't do Authentications. I was able to get a hold of my Superintendent (I was very hopeful you would answer back quickly since he is state side right now) He did and told me that they have been having this problem with some states and to go ahead and send it to Virginia for the Federal Authentication. I sent that on Thursday and only did 2-day cause I have spent a lot on overnighting things lately. So they should get it tomorrow. I sent a 2-day with it for them to send it back. The website says 5 to 7 days to get it done I am hoping for sooner. We will see.


I have also received my entry work permit from Kuwait. Once I get my Background check back from being Authenticated I will be able to send all of it in and get my Work VISA. So now I am waiting for that.

I leave exactly one month from today, four weeks from Wednesday. I am still very excited but now I really need to start packing and getting ready. I am starting to think of the unknown that is ahead of me it does make me a little nervous.
I have started purchasing some things that I know I need to take with me, but I really haven't done a lot, so I need to get going.
My last day of work is July 30th so after that It is going to be all about the packing and getting ready to go.
