This week I have gotten a couple more emails.
I gotten an email from one of my Assistant Principals. It said welcome, we are excited to have you and gave me my log in information to get in to my school email in Kuwait.
I also got an email and access to a blog set up by the school. It is so that new teachers getting ready to come over can ask questions of some of the current teachers and a few administrators. I spent a few hours just reading the questions teachers from the previous year had and going through pictures and a watching a couple of videos on there. It was so fun to see some things to read all the advise all ready there and to start making lists of things to take and not to take with me.
Today I also got an email from my RS President that is currently in Kuwait. It is so wonderful to know that I have people excited to meet me and ready to welcome me. From both the school and my Chuch/ward.
She seems like a wonderful lady & I am excited to meet her in person.
I love how organized AIS is. They have a schedule for when certain people or departments at the school contact me and what information they share.
They have spaced it out which I love and don't like. I am so excited about going that I want to know everything now. But they are wise in spreading it out. I have time to process the new information before getting more. It also keeps me excited with each new email.
This week is Spring Break for my school district. I worked for a few hours yesterday and have been kind of lazy yesterday afternoon and today. have a very busy rest of the week.
I have decided I want to stop my addiction to caffeine. I have gotten to the point where I was drinking 1 or 2 daily and I just don't like feeling like I have to have it. I also know that it isn't good for my blood pressure & I want to be more healthy. I figure small steps. First, Get out from under caffeine. It is hard last time I had caffeine withdrawal headaches for 3 or 4 days.

The process is pretty slow right now, gathering things to wait.
I did get an email from my new principal in Kuwait. It welcomed me to the team gave me a schedule for the next few weeks of emails I will get with topics that will be addressed. I will be getting an email a week, for the next few weeks, to get me all the information.
I love the students that I have right now; but I can't wait until I get to begin my new adventure in Kuwait.
There are 48 days of school left this year. I am excited and as normal worrying that I haven't got enough time to teach my students all that they need in only 48 more days. So I am enjoying my time with them while counting down as well. I am counting down days in school and then I will probably start a count down until I leave.
I went in to my classroom yesterday (Saturday) and went through my 2 filing cabinets the recycle bin is now about half full. I also have 1 storage bin ready to go into storage. I still have stuff to go through but I am starting to pack up stuff that I have used and won't need to finish out the year.

On Friday Feb. 27th I got an email from a lady in Kuwait. She is a member of my church. It is comforting to have someone of the same faith to ask questions to. I have emailed her back a couple of times with questions.
This last week has been interesting. I had a doctor appointment on Tuesday that I had scheduled a couple of months ago. I told her about needing to get a physical done for my Visa and she said lets get it done. I gave her the list of required blood work, chest extra and other information. There was one of the tests that she didn't know what it was. After her nurse did some looking there were several of the test that their lab is not able to do. So she wrote me an order to go to the hospital to have them done. So I went up to the hospital. At the hospital the same test for Filariasis (It is a type of round worm that attacks the Lymphatic System) that my other doctor was asking about the hospital didn't know what it was either. I got my chest x-ray done and they asked me if I could come back so they had more time to research it. I understand the hospital needs certain codes and such, but I went home and Googled it and found it on the CDC and on WHO (World Health Organization) in under 5 minutes. It took them until the next day but they finally got it all figured out and I was able to go in and get my blood drawn for the tests.
I also went to the Police department to ask about the Criminal Background check I need and how long it takes to get it. There was confusion there as well. They weren't sure which one of the types of Background checks I would need. I need to call the State Department in Boise and get more information before I can move forward with this.
Both these experience made me very glad that I started early and not wait until the June1st date when I need to get it all done.
